Activities: All Ages Playgroup Meets the first and third Monday of the month as an opportunity for prospective members to "check out" our group. Baby Playgroup Members with a child under 18 months meet monthly to socialize. Coffee and Park Day Club Enjoy a cup of coffee and visit with other Moms while the kids enjoy a movie and playtime at Coffee Club. When the weather gets warmer we'll switch to Park Days and let the kids play while Moms socialize in the great outdoors. Foraging with Friends Meets once a month in search of food. Trips are to "pick your own" farms, farmer's markets, and specialty stores. Giant Journeys Monthly educational and "just for fun" field trips for kids afar outside Charles County. (e.g. Washington, D.C. Smithsonian, National Zoo, Baltimore Aquarium, Calvert Museum) Kid Trips Monthly educational and "just for fun" field trips for kids in the local area. MOMS Night Out Monthly evening get-togethers provide a chance for moms to have a "night out" to socialize with other moms. Nature Adventure Monthly field trips for kids to local and distant places with a "nature-related" theme. Music Baby Musical time for babies up to 1.5 years old. Lets sing songs, dance, play instruments, and have fun. Read and Play Meets monthly for the preschool storytime at the Potomac and La Plata Branch of the Charles County Public Library. Scrapbooking Meets monthly to help each other start or finish scrapbooking projects. Meets every three weeks with kid friendly lessons to teach children Spanish. Two Year Old Playgroup Meets alternate Fridays with moms of two year olds to visit while the kids play. |
